Office Renovation Pt. 2

After working in my new office area for a year, I have truly loved it. It’s more than I ever expected and I was super excited that my parent made the journey out to Colorado again to help me finish it – see Pt. 1 for more details. So with 2020 underway we went to completing the office remodel.

My dad did the heavy lifting and built the shelf back in MN. He’s the brains behind the operation. We went back and forth with measurements, but I left most of the details to him. He brought it out in a few different pieces, now we just had to assemble and pop it into place. Should be easy, right?! Well, nothing is ever as easy as it seems. It wasn’t nearly as bad as all that, but no project goes without it’s hiccups, or extra paint.

The assembly went fairly smooth, but the main thing I’d say is that it’s always tighter when fully put together, especially if you add a final coat of paint or two after measuring. At that point shelves have to be planed down and slight adjustments made, but no biggie. After that another light coat of paint and some heavy lifting and boom.

This whole “office area” has turned out better than I imagined. I’ve learned so much and it’s made me want to do bigger, and more complex, projects. Time will tell, but in the meantime I’ll work on getting this puppy organized and ready to roll. SO excited to have it finally complete.
